Reinstatement of Peter

"When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, 'Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?'"
John 21:15

This is one of my favourite scenes in the many books of the Bible. There is a strange beauty in confronting guilt and shame, and the grief that comes alongside it, and the longing for forgiveness and reconciliation. And finally, the reinstatement.

I think it is because of the great reversal - guilt and shame is our undoing, but our God undoes the guilt and shame, personally.
